Thinking ahead to October half-term week and Christmas – yes, Christmas!
We told you last week that we’re almost full during August and September, and that October is looking pretty busy too.
So just to say, if you’re thinking of going away over the half-term week, please can we encourage you to get your booking in as soon as possible. We’re getting a lot of new customers as a result of other catteries locally sadly closing down. New customers are great news for us but it does mean that competition for space here in our lovely cattery will be fierce, and we really don’t want to let anyone down, whether long-standing or new, if we can possibly help it.
And with the reappearance of summer, at least for a week or two, it seems odd to be thinking about Christmas. Some of you have had your Christmas bookings in since last Christmas! Christmas is normally a very busy time for us; in the past we’ve usually been able to squeeze in a few last minute bookings but with the number of new customers we have, we’re guessing that this might well not be possible this year. So whilst it’s hard to think about Christmas whilst it’s warm and the sun is shining, and whilst we still have half-term, Halloween and Bonfire Night to get through, please could we ask, if you’re thinking that for whatever reason you might need to board your cat at Christmas, that you get in touch sooner rather than later so you won’t be disappointed. And while we’re talking about Christmas, you should note that we’ll be closed on Christmas Eve (Sunday 24th December) so the last date for drop offs will be Saturday 23rd December. We’ll re-open on Wednesday 27th December for collections only in the morning; drop-offs will resume in the afternoon.
