Our VIPs (Very Important Pussies) – a tribute to those we’ve lost this year…

We mentioned in our last post a few of the cats who have left us this year.  Since then we have sadly lost a few more dear feline friends, so we thought it’d be appropriate, as we approach the end of the year, to remember those who we know are no longer with us.   Our apologies to those for whom we haven’t got a photo – this is something we only started doing relatively recently. 

 

Of the ‘old guard’, we’ve lost the very lovely trio of Monty, Costa, and Pip, who’ve been coming to the Cat’s Whiskers for what seems like forever.  Just in the last couple of weeks, sadly adorable big Burmese Bluey has left us; and we had to say ‘goodbye’ to our oldest guest, 22 year old Norman too – regular readers of our FB posts will know how special Norman was to us all.  We’ve also said fond farewells to Tom and Sir Humphrey, both loyal regulars and real characters, and to gorgeous Persian, Leo and one of our gang of black cats, super friendly Lulu.  And last but by no means least, Jerry, who although he only stayed with us once, made his mark; and the very beautiful Sylvie, who lost her battle with cardiomyopathy far too young.  Our love and thoughts are with all of you who’ve said ‘goodbye’ to your feline companion this year.  It was a delight to get to know them all and a privilege to look after them.  We think of them fondly, and will miss them very much; we know you do too.
