Our tribute to some VIPs (Very Important Pussies)…
It’s that time of year when we pay tribute to those cats we’ve known and loved in the past 12 months, especially those we’ve lost in 2024. This has been a painful year, losing 19 of our special friends, including some who we’d known for what seems like forever. But whether they stay with us once or many times, we feel it deeply when they’re not with us any more.
We’ve said ‘goodbye’ to a lot of the black gang stunners (Jane’s gang!) – Mabel, Bagley, Fred, Poppy T (my little ‘pop pop’),Cassie, young Oscar the ‘treat thief’, and just in the last few days, little loud Connie and our handyperson’s cat, Ebony. And some of their close relatives in the super smart black & white team- Daisy-May (our little pudding), Murphy, Thomas (who always came with a whole toy box full of toys!) & Rocky. We also said farewell to adorable grey tripod Poppie S, who came to the UK from Cyprus a lot of years ago, gentle elderly guys Smokey J and Marlowe, beautiful and feisty Truffle, stunning white Roxy, and the very pretty tabby twosome of Tabitha and Molly A. Many of them lived to a grand old age, most were over 15 years old, some over 18, and Jane had known a lot of them for much of their lives.
