How do you fancy a new catio?

Those of you who know Jane will know that she has a whole tribe of cats – 5 at the last count! – who all like to be outside in the fresh air. She lives quite close to a busy road and having lost one cat to the road is nervous about the cats being outside unless under close supervision, which isn’t always possible. She had a couple of small patios either side of a conservatory which were just dead space. So the solution? A super new catio!

This was designed, built, installed and fitted out by our friends Shaun and his team from 4Wire, based in Outwell, who helped us with the refurbishment of the cattery. It’s a brilliant design – an enclosed catio on each of the patios connected by a tunnel going across the top. Each enclosure has multiple shelves, steps, bridges – you name it, it’s there, to keep the cats happy and amused. And they just love it, especially Connor, who has claimed the middle of the tunnel as his own space! Anyone else who wants to use it has to jump over Connor! And the best bit – no need any more for supervision, the cats can just come and go as they please.
